People often use silly string for extra fun, it’s funny, but you can’t use it inside inflatables, why?

Silly string is made from a mixture of ingredients dispersed in a liquid solvent in an aerosol can of the product. Most inflatable structures are made of vinyl. When the silly rope comes into contact with the vinyl, the chemicals in the silly rope can cause the silly rope to stick to the inflatable surface and leave a residue in it. Residues can reduce vinyl integrity and flame retardancy, and chemicals can burn into inflators and cause black marks. This is not good for your bounce house maintenance.

When you try to clean the cord on the inflatables, you’ll find that the cord stains the vinyl almost like chewing gum on concrete and takes hours to clean up. Also, harsh chemicals must be used to remove silly rope and its residues, such as Goo Gone and Goof Off, etc. Damage to vinyl and stitched seams from silly rope is invisible, making it nearly impossible to remove all the silly rope and residue. If you rent a bounce house from a rental company and leave some silly rope on it, the company will charge you between $100.00 and $500.00 for cleaning, or at most a complete replacement of the unit!

Stupid Silly string puts your child’s safety at risk. Stupid silly strings with harmful chemicals can get into kids’ eyes and mouths as they hop around in the inflatables. Also, the chemicals can cause the bounce floor to become very slippery, which is very dangerous for children and can cause a slip hazard.

So, you shouldn’t use silly strings on inflatables, and even without using silly strings, your kids can still have a great party.
