If you own an inflatable personally, it’s not a cheap investment for you, and cleaning it can extend its life. And dirty inflatables can grow mold, which is bad for kids to play with.

Tools and materials needed to clean inflatables are vacuum cleaner, rag or towel, cleaning fluid, disinfectant, soft-bristle brush.

First step is getting rid of dust and debris: Kids jumping in and out of the inflatables kicks out dirt that might get inside the structure. We recommend using a vacuum cleaner to remove dust and debris right after your child uses the inflation. If you don’t clean them in time they will wear down the sutures over time, causing tears and tears.

The second step is to clean the dirty areas with a towel and cleaning solution, starting at the back and working your way forward as you wipe the inside of the inflator. This way, you won’t spread dirt and contaminants from dirty areas to areas you’ve already cleaned.

Dry the aeration as a final step, allowing the aeration to dry thoroughly after cleaning and sanitizing, this will prevent excess sanitizer and washing liquid from building up in the spots. It’s best to wash on a sunny day so the aeration will dry out faster. You can even use a leaf blower to speed up the process. This process is important because it helps the bounce house fabric not get soiled in the long run.
